Here’s a cheat sheet to the myriad of events taking place this weekend:
The San Diego Food Truck Festival will have over 35 food trucks from LA, OC, and San Diego converging on Liberty Station. Trucks will cover everything from Indian to Italian, and ice cream sandwiches to banh mi sandwiches. Admission is $10 (not including food) and presale ticket holders will be admitted for the first two hours (noon-2pm) with door sales admitted after.
- Date: June 19
- Location: Ingram Plaza in Liberty Station- 2640 Cushing Road, between Dewey and Roosevelt.
- Time: noon – 6pm
- Admission cost: $10 (Looks like you can buy tickets for $6 here.)
- The official website is here.
57 Degrees is having their Third Friday Food Truck Extravaganza on Friday, June 17 starting at 5pm and going until the food runs out.
- Location: 57 Degrees Wine Bar, 1735 Hancock Street, San Diego CA 92101.
- Entry fee: $2.
- The organizer lists that 14 trucks will be there.
The National Homebrewers Conference will have 5 food trucks stationed right over the footbridge behind the Town & Country Resort in the parking lot of the Fashion Valley Mall. These trucks are open to the public, June 16th -18th, 11am-Late Night.
Please note that the trucks might be in a slightly different spot as they were asked to move from their original spot.
The Asian Persuasion truck is making their grand opening debut on Friday, June 17 from 6-9pm at The Office Bar in North Park.
If you go there very hungry and expect to grab some food right away, don’t bother going. Expect 1 hour wait just to order, then 30 min-1 hour wait for some food
I mean 30 min-1 hour wait to get your order.
Is that liberty event admission for charity (or what for)? Admission $$ goes to which charity? Tx 4 info!
I don’t believe it is for charity. The organizer said it costs them about $15k to put on the event, so it’s probably going to re-coup their costs. (Please note that we are not associated with this event.)
I just want to mention the security at Fashion Valley Mall are not very happy when people park at Fashion Valley and walk over to Town & Country Resort. In the recent past signs are posted discouraging the practice so just letting people know to be careful and park at your own risk when it comes to Fashion Valley. Have a great weekend foodies!!!
Thanks.. I heard the trucks were shut down. 🙁
