The city of Santee’s Summer Concert Series kicked off its 29th year on June 14. New this year is a food truck
rally featuring four of San Diego’s favorite food trucks each Thursday (except July 19) serving a variety of food and desserts.
Performances are every Thursday from 6:30-8pm through August 16, except July 5.
The concerts take place at the Town Center Community Park at the north side of the San Diego River.

What: The Celebration of Life for Junior Seau tribute. Free admission and parking. Speakers include Dan Fouts, Rodney Harrison, LaDainian Tomlinson, coach Bobby Ross, John Lynch; and San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.
When: Friday, May 11
Time: 6:30pm, lasting around 90 minutes
Where: Qualcomm Stadium
It looks like they are planning to have 20 food trucks there to support the cause with 25% of proceeds going to the Junior Seau Foundation.

KidsFest San Diego is San Diego County’s largest hands-on, creative festival for children and their families in celebration of the imagination on June 9-10 at Liberty Station, Point Loma. The 100,000 square feet of play includes a messy zone, creation station, dance party, dress-up bar, build-it square and more.
When: Sat. and Sun. June 9-10, 10am-4pm.
Current truck lineup: Eat at Recess, Red Oven Pizza, Thai 1 On, Delicioso, The Dog Shack, Sweet Treats, and Kona Ice.
There is a fee for tickets.
