The Art Institute’s food truck is 3-0 in local food truck battles! Will San Diego’s God Save the Cuisine truck break the streak in a Food Network-inspired battle on September 22nd in Mission Valley?

WHO:

Talented San Diego culinary students representing The Art Institutes Food Truck will showcase their skills in a friendly cooking “battle” against God Save the Cuisine.

Judging the competition will be the Lime Truck’s Jesse Brockman who was the winner from the last season of The Great Food Truck Race and a 2009 alumnus of The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California – Orange County.

WHAT:

The Art Institutes (Ai) Food Truck Tour will wrap up its tour of Southern California in San Diego, where its undefeated (3-0) record will be challenged by Good Save the Cuisine.

The Ai Food Truck Tour brings the excitement of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race-inspired cooking competitions to communities in San Diego, Inland Empire, Los Angeles and Orange County. In a playful but competitive “battle” Ai will challenge the contestants to create a dish that includes a mystery ingredient.

The public is invited to this event to watch the competition live, purchase tasting size portions of diverse cuisine from the participating food trucks, see who wins the challenge and take photos on-site with celebrity chefs, at no cost to attend.

The local cooking challenge will take place on September 22, 2012 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
