SD Foodie Fest at Qualcomm Stadium: July 8-10, 2016

The Great American Foodie Fest returns to San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium on July 8th-10th, 2016, showcasing 50+ of the country’s best food trucks. There will be carnival rides, beer garden, eating contests, and live entertainment.

Participating food trucks will include Southern California favorites such as Middle Feast Food Truck, winners of season 5 of Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race;” Phil The Grill (The Jay-Z of BBQ) featured on Food Network’s “Chopped”, Devilicious featured on Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race Season 2, and FryFry Food Truck featured on Cooking Channel and many more.

Touch A Truck is a car show where all the vehicles are open for the future drivers of America to climb behind the wheel and honk the horn – in an effort to help kids fight cancer. All of the food trucks at this event have made a generous donation to the cause. Eat heartily knowing that part of your food purchase is helping a kid battle cancer.

Celebration of Life for Junior Seau on Friday

What: The Celebration of Life for Junior Seau tribute. Free admission and parking. Speakers include Dan Fouts, Rodney Harrison, LaDainian Tomlinson, coach Bobby Ross, John Lynch; and San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.
When: Friday, May 11
Time: 6:30pm, lasting around 90 minutes
Where: Qualcomm Stadium
 
It looks like they are planning to have 20 food trucks there to support the cause with 25% of proceeds going to the Junior Seau Foundation.
