Hello fellow food truck enthusiasts!

I am currently working really, REALLY hard on opening a food cart in the San Diego area. I will be moving from Tucson, AZ so I really have no idea what the good spots are for me to sell my product. I am brand new, we a really cool concept, if you have any ideas please guide me in the right direction. My e-mail is, any suggestions are welcome. I’ve read that some campuses are looking for a small cart to come during the evenings to sell low-cost quality food. That will be me! So please shoot me an e-mail or reply to this post for idea.
Thank you!
See you soon!

We are looking for a food truck to come to our work site this Wednesday, June 4th from 11 – 1. We have about 35 people who participate in purchasing from the food trucks. Let me know if you are interested so I can let our employees know.

Diana June 4, 2014 at 11:04 am

I am looking for a food truck that will come out to Borrego Springs on November 15th in the evening. We will be serving between 40-50 people, and would like a few simple options (including vegetarian. We will be prepaying for this event. Finding a food truck for that far east is proving to be challenging.

Are there any food trucks that are hiring for any and all positions. I’m an experienced cook looking to follow my passion of feeding others! Please feel free to contact me at

Ashley Negrette June 26, 2014 at 12:53 pm

I’m an immigration attorney and I’d like to offer my services to taco truck customers. Please contact me for more information.

Hi. We are holding an outdoor Toy Collectibles Event Show at Southern California Comics located at 8280 Clairemont Mesa Blvd #124. We would love to have food trucks show up because it’ll be a fun event from 10-5 PM and there will be plenty of people showing up, and given the location (which is within a parking lot amongst a series of industrial buildings) your business would be the most convenient and appreciated food option for hungry shoppers! Contact us at, 619-987-4800

Daniel September 4, 2014 at 3:23 pm

Good afternoon, I’m looking for a food truck for my college, California College of San Diego, located in San Marcos, CA. I don’t know much about food trucks and would love if someone could contact me via e-mail to possibly schedule a weekly visit to my school. Thanks!

Jay Clark November 19, 2014 at 3:46 pm

Do you have a listing for the trucks other than on twitter? I would like to see a more complete description via websites or facebook.

rob December 7, 2014 at 7:35 am

Aubrey July 2, 2015 at 3:53 pm

We are looking for a food truck to cater to our employee luncheon.

Dean July 27, 2015 at 5:31 pm

Looking for a truck to stop off at a job site twice a day. Preferably around 9:00 and 12:00. It is a large project. Will average between 15 to 30 guys a day. It’s in Carlsbad off of Palomar Airport and El Camino Real. Thanks

Rose Lopez August 17, 2015 at 9:16 am

I was wondering how to get a food truck to be in the area of my work. We only have a few choices of food in our area, and having a food truck in the morning and or afternoon, would be great. We have a 4 story building in downtown 1750 5th Ave. And everyone would enjoy this.

Nathalie Kind September 9, 2015 at 1:43 pm

Hi there!

It’s finally that season again……FOOTBALL!!! We typically are fairly busy on Monday/Thursday’s during the football season after work (5 – 9pm) and are looking for someone to come out on a semi-regular basis to provide some tasty food for our patrons. I am happy to post a calendar of events on FB and link directly to your FB account if you can commit to a day(s).

Thanks in advance for the consideration!

SDFT September 11, 2015 at 10:53 am

Hi Nathalie, try the “book a truck” page! 🙂

taylor November 5, 2015 at 9:00 pm

Do trucks ever come to the Gateway Center Dr. Area near the Costco and Mt. Hope Cemetery? There is a commercial area behind Costco that I work at that includes many small businesses as well as large warehousing facilities including DHL and the San Diego Blood Bank. We would love to have a regular visit from some/all of the trucks. Do they come anywhere around there? I did not see it on the list of truck locations you had online.

ray January 7, 2016 at 8:50 am

Was looking through the list of trucks and seems a lot of them are gone now. Probably would be helpful if you could look into it and update list. ones I noticed: Under the Crust, Woody’s, Tastilicous, Sweets in Motion, Puesto, Patty Melt, Green Truck, Game Day Eats, Chop Sooey and Crab Cakes 911

SDFT January 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm

Hi Ray, thanks for the email. The tricky thing is, we won’t remove a truck from the list until we have *confirmation* they are closed. Sometimes it is difficult to get confirmation. I will try to look into these!

jesse January 19, 2016 at 10:21 am

we’re a bar on morena blvd. in between ballast point home brew mart and coronado brewing co. and we’ve recently ceased our regular food truck schedule with previous vendor and are looking to fill in all weekend spots. please email if interested. thanks!

We, RVPTSA, are looking for a food truck to come to our school at 5:30pm on Feb. 26th for our love of reading night. We will have about 25-50 families who will need dinner. This is a conservative estimate, enrolled students is over 1,000. We are a 501(c) organization and will ask for a small give back. Let me know if you are interested so I can let our families know you are coming.

Emma February 18, 2016 at 12:51 pm

I added a “Book a truck” request.

Beverly February 22, 2016 at 3:59 pm

Just reaching out to the Food Truck Community as we have some events booked that we are unable to make because of mechanical challenges with our truck. We value our customers and would like to offer them options. Please contact me if you can help. (619) 200-8786

Hi Beverly, you can also fill out a request at the Book a Truck page and include this info. That might be the best way to get the word out to other trucks. Thanks!

amy April 4, 2016 at 6:36 pm

We are looking to host 2 food trucks for a late afternoon/early evening event at Diegueno Middle School (Encinitas) on Monday, April 25th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. We currently have a food truck specializing in pizzas already booked. We are anticipating approximately 300 people over the 2 hours.
It is an open campus family nite, so it will be kids and adults in attendance.
If you are potentially interested, please email me at
Thanks much!

SDFT April 6, 2016 at 10:36 am

Hi Amy, did you submit an event request?

Vonnie May 2, 2016 at 10:32 am

Please put us back on list. We are back. Thank you. Vonnie

SDFT May 9, 2016 at 10:56 am

Hello all,
State Farm now insures Food Trucks, Feel free to contact me at @ 858 279- 8000 or email me at for a quote. I would love to save y your business some money.

– Thank you.

Kimberly June 6, 2016 at 9:54 am

I am getting quotes from food trucks to participate at our monthly event in down town La Mesa starting Wednesday August 3, 2016 @4pm-8pm. We are on an extremely limited budget as we don’t have funding from the city, merchant association or chamber of La Mesa. I am asking for kid friendly trucks who may be interested in staring with very low inventory or risk to come and join us. We are looking for vendors willing to have a $250.00 minimum because we do not know how many people will be at this event and although it is gaining traction throughout the community and social media. We can not assume a high risk minimum. If you are willing to start up this event with us and can see your self working with us long term please email me at

Ben B. September 15, 2016 at 5:08 pm

Attention food trucks in the La Mesa area… Or any willing to travel here…

I may have a lead for you which would involve:

-A weekly location in a busy local strip mall containing businesses like dispenseries, bars, gun shops, and business offices near the Fletcher Parkway & I-8 area…

– A dedicated parking spot in that weekly location with both 220v and 110v hookups supplied…

– The possibility of turning this weekly opportunity into daily if business warrants!

– This location is surrounded by residential apartments and housing on one side, and commercial businesses on the other, a GREAT Gourmet Food Truck Location!

This would be a symbiotic relationship with one of the above mentioned businesses.

Please contact me if you are interested or would like more info….
